Aliens of W-10

Andoians

Mostly humanoid in their appearance and mannerisms, Andoians are on the whole fairly pacifistic and hard to rile. In fact, since an Andoian with long hair can be easily mistaken for a fairskinned Human, they almost altogether avoided Massacres. They are, however, exceptional at planning and so in fair demand by both armies. Their bat-like ears and slightly darker skintones are one of the very few things that set them apart from Humans.

Animarians

Avians hailing from a tropical world, the Animarian society is split into two fractions- the Priests and the Warriors. The two are warring constantly, and mercilessly. There really seems to be little difference between the two save to say that the Warriors mark themselves by a gold engraving in their sparring claws and the Priests by a silver. They are highly religious and worship the goddess Micha. Animarians are very seldom seen offworld and do their best to avoid other races- their morals are very strict and cause the species to be self-alienated.

Bekir

Jokers on the whole, the Bekir have been almost entirely whiped out. What remains dwells on a small craggy planet and has a nearly midevil society. Their angluar build more suited for springing up slopes than sprinting, Bekir are often employed as mechanics in the hearts of larger space-fairing vessels. Their language is somewhat reminicant of Olde English and their value system is highly fuedal. They are friendly aliens with large hearts and little fight- they usually stay behind the battle lines doing the tech jobs as opposed to getting involved in the actual fighting.

Chuians

Chuians are one of the master builder races. Short statured, they are also fairly aggressive when met with challenges. Rodentlike cousins of the other species of their homeworld, Contura, the Chuians are able to walk upright and manipulate more intricate machinery with their small fingers. It is a common misconception that Chuians are overzelous in terms of reproduction, but this is yet another rumor propigated by the Rulerists to promote racial discrimination. Chuians often have little time for relationships inbetween their jobs, and it isn't until well after retirement that a Chuian will settle down and raise a family. Once a Chuian gets a friend, however, they will keep them for life. They are still on slightly rough terms with the Conturians, however, due to an ancient war between the two species.

Conturians

The far more mouse-like cousins of the Chuians, Conturians hail from the homeworld Contura. Their paws are far too large to operate most computers and machinery, so the species has focused more on spirituality and philosophy. They are somewhat aloof and fairly silent, choosing to avoid conflict altogether rather than enter into the current war. They do not wear clothing, save for the occasional pendant or bracer. The only people who can really get the Conturians angry are the Chuians, due to an ancient rivalry and war. Conturians promote love of their God through love of one another, and so although they are seldom seen on the streets, temples are almost always teeming with the twin-tailed aliens on Contura.

Dracoeyeians

Draco-Eyeians are believed to be a subspecies of Human that developed in the vacinity of the constilation Draco. Altogether they are indistinguishable from their father species counterparts, except for their pointed teeth. The species, having adapted for years in harsh enviroments, have what is often described as extrasensory skills. It is not uncommon for them to be highly suspicious and listen to the rumor of a child instead of the facts a computer is feeding them. They shun space travel and once rooted ona world will often stay there for the remainder of their lives. A few have become involved in the war effor on their homeworlds, but they do not identify together as a species. Humans deny their relation completely.

Dragons

Little is known about Dragons, and many believe them to be no more than old wives tales to be told to children who won't eat their vegitables. However, Dragon sightings continue throughout the cosmos, so there is always reason to believe the mythical beasts may still exist...

Flits

Long believed to be non-sentient, it was only a recent discovery that Flits have in fact, a complex system of communication and history telling. The flighty airborn creatures of the Magin jungles seldom stop to spend time with another living thing for any length of time, however, so their language is still a mystery. They are hyperactive and childish, prone to picking at shiny objects and swarming when frightened. They live in no cities and reproduce like tropical birds, remaining in family groups until they are old enough to mate. The only species that knows much of the Flits in detail are the Magin, who are thought to be extinct.

Hacylrigs

Insectoid aliens of unknown heritage, Hacylrigs are hardly the most intelligent of creatures. They are obedient and loyel but easily defeated in terms of mental prowess- their mind is not their strong point. The ability of their hard outer shells to survive in vaccuum has made them desireable on trecherous space journies though- they make excellent guards on prision ships. Unlike many alien races, Haclyrigs do fine without their egg-mother in the vacinity, having no use of a hive-mind. They have the ability to reproduce asexually and will often lay one egg at a time and secretly tote it with them on their journeys.

Half-Humans

The infanite possiabilites of Half-Humans can not be described in a meer paragraph. If a Human and any given mammilian alien ever bore offspring, the result was this. The child was shunned by their Human parent and often their Alien and forced to live on their own- the Half-Humans have no natural language aside from that of the world they have grown up on. Usually sterile, there are as many possiabilites for the attributes and skills of a half-Human child as there are species in the cosmos.

Hekshanians

Both feline and reptilian in their mannerisms and appearance, Hekshanians hail from the savannah-covered planet of Hekshano. A world of mostly desert and plains, mountains and tundra, Hekshanians are dusky coloured and have few erratic colourings. In current times, due to the massacre of all of the species over the age of 17, the planet has fallen to ruin and its inhabitants turned excessively to vice. Easily depressed and not the greatest of mental athletes, Hekshanians will stubbornly stand for what they believe is right until they're faced with death or withdrawl. Their speedy reaction time makes them exceptional pilots, and a few have become involved in the war on sheer revenge principal. However, on a whole they are easily addicted and hard to wean from any given drug. As a result, few Hekshanians get jobs outside of their homeworld and many are admitted to rehabilitation centers. "Delinquent" behavior is no longer delinquent to them, but second nature.

Humans

Highly adaptable, and insatably curious and power hungry, Humans come from the lush planet Earth in the system Sol. They lack any particular distinguishing marks but are highly intelligent. However, they are also prone to trend, which is where the religion of Rulerism came from. Rulerism, or God-Driven Nazis, has caused the extinction of many species and the start of an entire galactic war. Due to their adaptability, however, the Humans have gained the upper hand. Several have defected and denounced their species, and there are still many good Humans in the cosmos, but they have become stereotyped as evil encarnate because of their behavior. They are stubborn to a fault and refuse to admit their mistake, instead seeing it easier to kill any alien that wanders their way. The fatal error is this - there are more aliens all total than humans.

Inhumans

A Human creation, Inhumans were the attempt of science to create obediant super-human soldiers by combining animal and sometimes alien DNA with Human embryos. Often mentally retarted or at the very least unstable, Inhumans were almost all killed at birth. Usually physically deformed in one way or another, they experience rejection their entire life if they do survive their medical parentals. Born of Human mothers, they are allowed no luxery of family but studied from birth for any signs of talent. The Inhuman project was abandoned a few years prior to the war when the subjects began to rebel against their creators and show unpredicted power.

Izu

The Izu are small, barely intelligent creatures from a twin mountain range on Hekshano. In truth, they are a mutant species, incapable of reproduction or even leaving their caves for an extended period of time. Small and gelatinous, they are extremely expressive and can sound notes for miles to call one another inside the caves. Their birth is the result of a chemical reaction in the rocks and a fungus native to Hekshano after many years. Izu have eyes, and mouths, but do not feed. They cannot speak Uni but are easily liked by almost all who come across them, although their existance is a well kept secret. Eventually, when the build of Hekshano changes and the caves close or collapse, the Izu will be wiped out, but for the time being they are a friendly little semi-intelligent native to Hekshano.

Lonish

The perpetual sad gaze of a Lonish is likened often to the painting "The Scream." Lonish, however, are far from emotional. Standing well over two meters tall they have been likened to large, blue, walking walls. The average Lonish fist measures a foot in diameter. From an unknown world, the only thing Lonish seem to have in common with one another is their love of power. A Lonish will do anything to rule over others, including using its massive fists to destroy anything in its path. Lonish do not often mate at all, and are very rare. They speak at even rarer intervals than their species appears and when they do open their mouths, what they say is short, to the point, and absolutely correct. The Pagan army is desperate for Lonish commanders, but has only three.

Magi

The third, and extinct, species to dwell on Magin, Magi are six-armed bipeads with slightly greenish skin and a very deeply earth-intwined religion. History teaches that they lived on the opposite continent of the Magos, and were possiable an ancient relation to the aquarian species. However, while excivation of sites on the opposite continent found evidence of the Magi lifestyle, little is known of why they died out. It is known, however, that they were very tightly tied to the hyperactive little Flits, and based most of their religion around the gently pulsating crystals that can be dug out of the earth on the jungle continent. There are, of course, rumors that Magi still exist, but this is completely unproven.

Magos

Magos, inhabitants of Magin, are semi-aquatic creatures with tall lanky builds, blue tinted skin and a rubbery look to them. They tend to despise those outside their species, feeling the affairs of those offworld are no affair of their own. Thus, they stick to the cities on their continent and do not meddle in the affairs of the Humans situated overseas. They look similar to equine-morphs, with large nostriles and long faces, their hands simian and webbed. Their language is a complex and high pitched series of yips and gurgles, difficult to understand and hard to speak for an offworlder. The only interaction they have with offworlders is tourism. It is thought they are the aquatic relations of the deceased Magi, but there is no proof. They personally believe Flits to be nonsentient and pesky.

Mites

Very few Mites exist in the cosmos to date, their homeworld was reduced to a smoldering rock by Rulerist warfare. Mites themselves had a long tradition behind battle and military, but knew little or nothing of space travel. Entirely furred, including their wings, Mites are usually darker coloured and even tempered, until provoked where they will battle furiously. Females are looked upon as inferior in Mite society and so it is not uncommon for young Mite girls to impersonate boys for equality. The most well known fact of Mites is that their bones are made not of one solid peice of tissue but instead of several smaller lock-together parts that grow in as the Mite ages. In this way, Mites can change their height and wingspan voluntarily, although the concherto of clicks which acompanies it is often described as stomach churning. A young Mite using un-grown joints will easily cripple themself, but to do so would be extremely painful and so no Mite youngster is that stupid. The remaining Mites are free-lance merchinaries or assassins.

Morbacks

Often described as "Vampires," Morbacks are semi-lupine bipeds with a long history of hunting and tradition backing them. Their homeworld is the confier infested moon of Norra, very nearby the Nikitak homeworld. Their fur is thick and bushy, and also a symbol of what family clan they belong to. Morbacks are often very religious and believe they can see back and forwards in time, especially by "Borrowing" the skills of a "Master," someone who is atuned to the Universal flow. The Morback religion has extended far beyond their race. While called Vampires, Morbacks are more violent carnivours than they are the blood-drinkers of legend. Hunting alone rather than in packs, a single Morback has been known to eat double their weight, leaving not a stain of blood anywhere near their kill. Many people fear that crossing a Morback will result in a very secret and well hidden murder, and them on the Morback's menu. This is not far from the truth.

Myches

Tech masters of the universe, Myches have made almost everything that makes the cosmos spin. From the Jump Gates to most ships, Myches not only design everything, they operate and maintain it as well. For a somewhat equine, quadruped race, this is quite a feat. Myches have an ill grasp on the Universal Language and often garble it to suit their own needs. Their nature is easily pleased, easily pleasing. Myches are fast to make friends where they work, although once they define you as an enemy it is very hard to regain their trust and return to their good side. Myches live in tight family groups, and it is not uncommon to find one family working together on a ship. Even Humans have to swallow their pride and use Myches to run their ships.

Nikitaks

Arctic, hex-limbed, white-furred and extremely cheery, Nikitaks hate to be involved in fighting of any kind. War overall causes their stomachs to clench most unpleasently, and so it is usually only the immature and hyperactive teens who get anywhere near the turmoil off their homeworld of Nikiticha. Arctic dwellers and city builders, Nikitaks are highly advanced despite their definite lack of need to wear clothing. Their Uni is usually heavily accented, and they are slow to pick up most other languages. However, they took splendidly to the cargo-faring trade and so their bouyant nature helps them get by even the most tenacious of language barriers.

Rakwulfs

Long believed to be nothing more than barbarians, the tundra-stalking Rakwulfs couldn't be further from the truth. Although their rough throats don't allow them an easy grasp on the Uni language, they are excellent planners and dangerous adversaries. Highly advanced and the makers of some of the Universe's most destructive weaponry, Rakwulfs are broad shouldered and look quite similar to Morbacks, save for their elongated muzzles. Rakwulfs are often dull in colour, blacks or sandy browns. Evolved from preditors, obviously, they have superior long distance vision and are frequently snipers in the Pagan Army. The species on a whole are very active in the war, and believe that no single species has the right to govern what aliens live, and what aliens die.

Ranecs

This species is almost entirely gone due to the traitorous folly of one member. However, before the destruction of their world and the extermination of their people, Ranecs were a highly militaristic society. Practice for the military began at a very early age and those who entered into it were treated as celebreties by all around them. Family groups were loose, parents often leaving their children to the care of personal trainers rather than raising the young themselves. Most of their technology imported from offworld, Ranecs learned very quickly and became experts at deceifering computer codes. The problem with this was that the military police had their hands full preventing Ranec hackers from looting Ranec banks overnight. A decendant of lapines, Ranecs lived on a hot arid world where it was trecherous even to step on the ground for long periods of time, and so their feet are large and tough soled.

Reptiloids

The best way to describe a Reptiloid is 'easily impressionable' because from their hatching to the third week of their life, they intake all information and base their entire lifestyle off that. For this reason Reptiloids can be both sentient and nonsentient, depending. It is almost impossiable to predict them as a species, because their homeworld is unknown. It is believed that the entire population of Reptiloids in the cosmos was the result of one trader in exotic pets. When trained as personal body guards or assassins, however, Reptiloids are ruthless and obscenely efficiant, stopping at nothing and feeling no mercy.

Rogers

Large, bipedeal aliens with long muzzles, Rogers are not known for their aggression. At least, they weren't, until their entire species was subjected to a Massacre. Most Rogers which survived were offworld at the time and became enraged at the loss of their species, vowing singleminded revenge on the Rulerists. Rogers now can be seen mostly in leadership positions in the Pagan Army, if not instigators for uprising. While normally cheerful and friendly, they exibit an uncharicteristic change in behavior when their authority is challenged, completely turning around and becoming supreme commanders.

Suikuin

The fourth and lastly discovered species of Magin are the Suikuin, aquatic dwelling creatures that do not even retain the ability to breath above water. Because the oceans were long uncharted territory, the species was completely overlooked for many years. The Suikuin, likewise, were extremely shocked at the presence of other species. They adapted surprisingly well to visitation from the world above, however, and have become one of the leading species in linguistics. Somewhat lupine in appearance, they are a somewhat new slot in the evolutionary ladder, combining both mammalian and icthyoid attributes. Obviously incapable of space travel, they rely completely on others visiting them to trade their skills. However, they are self sufficiant, and do not need outsiders to support themselves.

Tresh

From an arid world nearby the Areis constilation, the Tresh are thick limbed squat reptilian bipeads with feathered crests instead of hair. Their snouts are blunt and eyes wide, the species having evolved as scavengers instead of hunters. They are, however, extreme tacticians and can easily think their way out of the most dismal of situations. However, when confronted, they easily buckle and back down, so while they are in demand in the Pagan Army, they are also looked down on in the heat of battle as drawbacks. They are often ship navigators or advisors to techs, and tend to get along best with Andoians and Myches.
