Drifters
drifters are a new (random) mammal species i came up with that live in vaccuum. they use their spines to attach to asteroids for long periods of dormancy, then use their tendrils and compound eye to detect incoming moving objects. they then release en masse and follow the object, using tendrils to snatch microscopic bits of vapor and protien left behind in the trails for food. YUP.
