A very good natured member of the rebel military piloting force, Ro Koji (or "Darkfool" to his friends) tends to take everything as lightly as possible on the outside. He is indespensable because of this fact- in the darkest of times, Koji will be there to keep his comrades from falling into total depression. He tends to have a very candid and simplex view of things which is often helpful. Despite his humorous put-ons, he is actually quiet knowledgable and can not only be serious in times of need, but also terrifying in a fight. When Koji becomes angry, others know it, and they very quickly learn to fear it.
His past is by no means traumatic, although slightly upsetting. Koji's family did not fully approve of his desire to join in fighting an essentially harmless religion's military, and are likely still slightly bitter with him over this fact. It is suspected that Koji's desire to do so was inspired in some way by the death of his young wife - a Human.
An amazing mechanic, Koji can fix just about anything on a ship that has any possibility of breaking- although he almost never cleans up after himself in this case. Koji's ship, the Jester X, is constantly a mess of bolts, nuts, screws, wires and other minor parts that ships generally do need. Between running shipments to his military compatriots, Koji also ferries small groups set on missions to and from their designated destinations. He knows all the ins and outs of space and how to escape detection. He is also a decent tactician in dogfights, able to think on the fly and analyze his enemy's moves.
Koji does not bear anyone ill will until they prove themselves dangerous. He prefers to stay on his ship than to move on the ground, however. It was Ro Koji who went with Soshika and Solla on their mission to retrieve Grey.
