Grey planned to execute the platoon before they could execute the Rogers.
Of course he was chancing things greatly. He'd only scouted the most likely places in the city where ground troops would pen up the Rogers before execution. If the attackers choose an entirely different spot, Grey would have to change plans drastically. Such impulsive planning could cost lives, and he knew it.
No one being could save a species alone, not against such odds was the outcome voting to be favorable. Grey knew this. It was obvious to him. He needed help, and there was only one Roger who'd dare to ally with a demon.
