Planet Index

note: these are only the planets mentioned in stories, or homeworlds of some species. naturally more planets than this exist, and are inhabitable, but it is impractical to create data for every single one. As you can see, even some of the ones already noted haven't got any data on them. I apologize for this.

Ando
species- Andoians, Tresh
An entirely desert world, Ando is used for mining and little else. Mesas and vast expanses of waterless land cover the surface, and would torment all but the most harty of visitors. Years before current, the surface was entirely water, as fossilized sea dwellers and the decended animals of today give evidence to. Due to the Gnat moon, the planet occasianlly experiences a second night. Because of this erratic lunar system, weather is completely unpredictable. All settlements are built on high ground because flash floods are common, and all mines have the ability to seal shut in the threat of storm. The main port city, Dock Six, is about a month's journy on foot from where the mines are run, and so export is slow. Life on Ando is reserved for only the most hard working and stubborn, but as a result crime is very low. Travel between towns is usually done on foot or on Strider-back, because the sand and threat of floods would easily wipe out a car or small plane.

Animaria
species- Animarians
A highly populated planet- but by flora, rather than fauna. Trees on Animaria are thought to be stunted if they grow no more than ten stories. The entire surface is merely a series of different forests intersected with mountain ranges and rivers- it is not at all surprising that the native species evolved flight early on. Unlike other forest worlds, however, Animaria is relitively tamed. Unless one is prone to putting odd objects in their mouth, even the most touristy traveller is safe on this planet's surface. There are no cities, however, and it is difficult to land a plane on the surface. As a result, it takes a good three weeks between when a plane is called and when it arrives. Usually overlooked because of its out of the way location and lack of spaceports, Animaria is a good place for people who want to disappear.

Contura
species- Chuians, Conturians
The natives of Contura thrive on import and export- they are an excellent source of technology as well as more populance-oriented things such as music and games. The planet herself has been called the Neon Moon, although Contura is not a moon at all. The surface, save for the polar caps and three small seas, is a multi-level city. The lower levels have been abandoned and have begun to decay many years before the current time, and so it is only natural that the planet was one of the first in inter-stellar travel. It is rumored that the lowest levels of the Contura cities have begun to reform back into dirt, and so the planet can continue to be built on indeffinitly. Despite this, city level collapses are common. So despite the high standard of living, it is not reccomended for tourists to visit Contura without a guide.

Dracoeye
species- Dracoeyians

Earth
species- Humans, Inhumans
An interesting planet with multipul different climates, overall earth is fairly temperate. Due to political and racial arguments, the original seven continents have disolved into only six- Asia and Europe having joined together. The poles are cold, but hardly uninhabitable, especially to the highly adaptable species that evolved on its surface. By far one of the wettest planets to current, a very small percentage of the water on Earth's surface is drinkable. The planet itself had at once been full of natural resources, but its home species was careless with these gifts and so, by the time interstellar travel was achived by them, they were in a dark age. The surface, as a result, has been somewhat neglected. Where there are cities and major condensations of population, there is a very low standard of living, but on the contrary, the now overgrowing and encrouching forests that have absorbed pollution and posion make it impossiable to settle outside of these places.

Gnat Moon
species- n/a
Locked in an alternating orbit between two other worlds, Gnat Moon experiences night twice and sometimes three times a day. The erratic schedual has not put off others from visiting, however. It is a small rural place with only one major city- its spaceport- and even that more resembles an old west one-horse town than anything else. The planet's entire surface is covered in pine forests, the hearty trees dwarfing anything else. It is rumored that years prior to discovery, there was an indiginous species on the planet's surface, but they have long since died out. The forests are so dense that most sensory equipment can't penitrate, but there have been reports of temples discovered in the depths. As expected, the standard of living is good but cut off from outside influence, and the major export is lumber.

Hekshano
species- Hekshanians, Izu
For the most part an arid world, Hekshano has a few oceans and three continents. Damuraii is the most well known of its continents, its unofficial capital being North Tek. Damuraii is located nearer the planet's equator, and as a result is warmer than the rest of the surface. There are scattered forests, and a good deal of savannahs and mountain ranges on the planet. The caps are not so much polar as they are uninhabitable- the planet in itself is rather on the cold side in terms of climate, and so its inhabitants unless located towards the equatorial area must be well adapted for that weather. A massacre of the Hekshanians on the surface several years ago lead to an economical collapse, but prior to that the planet was thriving with spaceports and exports. The gravity well surrounding her now is scattered with space mines, however, and so only the most daring and insane pilots make regular trips between the surface and space. The quality of life is low, rather resembling the cities of Russia in the 20th century.

I.M.
species- n/a
A small and absolutely chill moon orbiting Hekshano, I.M. is short for Insanity Moon, a nickname its original settlers gave it. Life on this moon is not possiable without the atmosphere factories on the surface, and the ground is too rocky and devoid of nutrients for any substantial farming. The planet herself is used, instead, as a sort of go-between for the cut-off Hekshano and the rest of the universe. The entire world is a spaceport, which isn't that diffcult- the world is only a few thousand kilometers in diameter. Many species pass through this area, or take up temporary residence, but none stay for extended periods of time. The standard of living is mediocre, but better than on Hekshano's surface.

Magin
species- Magi, Magos, Flits, Suikuin
Two continents floating in opposite hemispheres have caused Magin people to evolve almost completely independant of one another. The majority of the surface is a vast, freshwater sea which houses a great deal of life left unexplored by the surface dwellers. The natives of the southern continent dislike visitors and so deny the requests to investigate their world. The Northern continent, while uninhabited and an ideal place to set up operations, is a dense and savage jungle. Without the influence of her more civilized cousin, none of the sentient species here evolved beyond tribal times. There are numerous temples on the Northern continent, and perfectly preserved villages from her extinct inhabitants, if one can only convince the Southerners to give them passage across the seas. The south is not entirely cities, and focuses a great deal on farming. There are almost no exports or imports on Magin, as the planet choses to stick to itself and keep out of intergalactic affairs.

Morback
species- Morbacks
Little is known of Morback, due to its vicious inhabitants. What can be told from preliminary surface scanning is that the world is resoundingly cold, and so when its natives are brought offworld they become even more aggressive. There is no snow on the surface, however, and from what can be told neither is there any surface water. There are speculations that the fauna of Morback gets its saturation from supercooled underground aquafers that occassionally break surface with gysers, but none of this can be proven. Standard of living and native customs are unknown, and liable to remain so.

Nikitak
species- Nikitaks
An arctic world of little note, Nikitak exists far on the fringes of what is normally considered 'civilized' space. However, many good pilots and commanders have come from its cold surface. Perhaps this is due to the 'small town' mentallity- the only good use of it is knowing you have to leave. The natives live in small clustered towns with no clear mode of travel between them. Although the standard of living is high, you will see almost no use of mechanical travel or communication. The arctic forests themselves, however, are not to be treaded lightly or alone. Put to mind what kind of preditor could survive a perpetual winter woodland- visitors to Nikitak are advised to go in groups and well armed.

Rojeria
species- Rogers
Victim of yet another massacre, Rojeria's standard of living has dropped dramaticly in recent years. Overall it resembles the cities of Earth in the 19th century in both architecture and industrialization. Rogers are singleminded and ambitious aliens, and the planet surface reflects that in spades. Twelve small continents on the surface make sea-related trades a thriving internal source of funds, and so most of Rojeria's major cities are located on the edges of the land. Further inland, there are hills and small stunted forests, but very little in the way of mountain ranges. The planet is remarkably flat, it is a popular theory that the oceans had begun to dry up and that was the result of the existance of the continents at all. Indeed it seems that they do not drift so much as meld into one another like massively sized sandbars. Now a Human outpost, it is not reccomended to visit Rojeria- everything is very harshly monitered.
