Lypha (to Grey): I hope you’re feeling good and stable, cause it’s time to go.
They exit the ship.
Lypha: Don’t fall behind. And don’t worry, you won’t be here long. I hope.
Here’s where things begin to get a little strange. I find myself worried over him, whoever he really is. Will Kyotoshi be able to take care of him? Will he be safe here? I don’t understand it. I’ve never even had a conversation with him, but suddenly I feel obligated to worry. It’s as if during this gross parody of baby-sitting, I adopted some responsibility for him.
And something else… What if Kyotoshi has changed? What if he improved? What if, in my absence, he pulled his life around and I’ve been hating him and avoiding him for no reason? Best not to think about it.
Lypha leads Grey by the sleeve. He trips, but continues on. They reach the front steps of a building, and sit outside.
